In 2015, Adonai launched a Community Health Centre in 2015 with the help of the GlobeMed chapter at Northwestern University. The centre helps meet the needs of the Adonai Children and students as well as the needs of the community. The Health Centre has a nurse on staff for our daily needs. In addition, the Health Centre hosts visits by physicians and dentists from the Mulago Hospital and Mulago Dental School. (If you're a healthcare professional who has a heart for children, your visit would be most welcome!)
The Health Centre also serves the needs of the local community. With international partners such as GlobeMed, Adonai is able to conduct community needs assessments and perform health outreach in such critical areas as malaria prevention, family planning and nutrition. These session help educate the community in order to prevent further proliferation of disease in the area.
The Adonai Medical Centre is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to accommodate the needs of the community.
A visting doctor is available upon appointment and on select days.
